GB DWP approves projects worth Rs1.22b

The second meeting of Gilgit-Baltistan Development Working Party (GB-DWP) chaired by Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid approved projects costing 1.22 billion rupees on Tuesday.

The meeting gave final approval of 2 MW hydropower project Turmak Rondo Phase II costing 497 million and 3 MW hydropower project Mehdiabad Khurramang Phase III cost 732.74m.

Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that all departments must submit PC-1 of development projects in the relevant forums for approval within the stipulated time period.

The Chief Minister directed the Provincial Secretary Planning to introduce a system of Real Time Monitoring to ensure quality and speed of work on development projects.
