The University of Okara Department of Sociology in connection with Defence Day organized a seminar on Monday during which students and faculty members from various departments delivered speeches in memorial of the martyrs to express solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan.
In his special message occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, stressed on the role of youth in the safe future of the country, He said, “We need to equip our youth with the knowledge and skills of modern science and technology and inculcate in them the civic sense and responsibility so that they not only play an active role in the socio-economic development of the country but also get their national ideals and culture recognized in the international community.”—INP
