To pay tribute to armed forces of Pakistan on the occasion of Defence Day, Punjab Council of Arts on Monday organized a special ceremony in which exhibition and poster making competition were held.
A large number of school and college students participated in the poster making competition held with the title of Pakistan Defence Day.
In the poster competition, Laiba Javed acquired first position, Aiman Yaseen second, Ahmad Qureshi third and Moeez Zeeshan remained fourth. In addition, Col. Shahid Rafique Malik presented stamps issued in connection with the 1965 and 1971 wars.
Addressing the function, MPA Farah Agha said that in the Pak-India war of 1965, the Pakistan Army had performed such heroic deeds which will be remembered forever. She said that Pakistan’s armed forces had defeated six times bigger enemy than its own.
Pakistani Armed Forces are our pride, she said adding that the Pakistan Army eradicated the scourge of terrorism from Pakistan.
