Artists look beyond we see and their creative self is always unfolded in layers reflecting their approach and creativity while treating the seemingly commonplace subjects, matters and things.
Pakistan National Council of the Arts is honored to host a National Art Exhibition ‘ The New Odyssey’ this was stated by Secretary Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division Asif Hyder Shah while inaugurating the exhibition.
He said that pandemic has greatly affected our lifestyles. The artist’s way of seeing things is different from a common man’s, he said adding they looked beyond what we usually see and their power of imagination is more than others.
He appreciated the young artists and praised and congratulated the efforts done by PNCA.
DG PNCA Hassan Raza Saeed said an artist plays an important role in shaping the society and how artists and their practices are affected by COVID-19.
The opening ceremony was attended by artists, families and guests from the community.
The New Odyssey is an art show by the top graduating students from different art universities across Pakistan.
Through this exhibition, an official of the PNCA stated PNCA hoped to provide the emerging artists a chance to enter the art market on a regional scale.
The show consists of 70 artists and 93 skilled and interesting works by the young graduates. The exhibition is open till September 23.
PNCA is dedicated to promote Pakistani Art on Local and National scale. According to a statement issued Wednesday, PNCA’s programmed present the traditional and contemporary art practices and reflect upon the excellence and cultural diversity of Pakistan as well as support professional development of the artist.
