Governor, US Consul General discuss regional situation

Newly appointed US Consul General Mark Stroh called on Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at Governor House on Tusday.

The governor on the occasion congratulated the US Consul General on assuming new responsibilities.

The meeting was also attended by US Deputy Consul General Matthew Ference and Political and Economic Chief Aleksandra Zittle.

During the meeting, Pak-US relations, situation in Kashmir and Afghanistan, investment and other issues of interest were discussed in detail.

Governor Sindh said that Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan, is an ideal city for investment. He said that Pakistan was moving in the right direction of development under the present government.

The Governor Sindh further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s policy of balancing policy and economic activities on Code-19 has been appreciated at the international level.

Talking to Governor Sindh, US Consul General Mark Stroh said that lasting peace, prosperity and protection of common interests in the region could be made possible through effective diplomacy.

The two countries agreed to further strengthen bilateral trade, investment, economic cooperation and measures to control the Corona Virus epidemic.
