The University of Gujrat (UoG) organised a condolence reference in the memory of Prof. Dr Fauzia Maqsood, dean faculty of Social Sciences the other day.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shabbar Atiq, and attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Faheem Malik, faculty deans, chairpersons, heads of departments and senior administration officials.
The meeting began with prayers for the eternal peace and bliss of the departed soul. The participants paid heavy tributes to Dr Fauzia and shared their memories about the late dean.
Grief struck the UoG faculty, staff and students on Sunday with the news of Dr Fauzia passing away in a Lahore hospital.
The vice chancellor in his condolence message to the family shared their grief and paid tribute to the late dean, saying she was a true face of the UoG.
