City reports 706 new Corona cases

As many as 15 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 6,627 and 1,459 new cases emerged when 18,455 tests were conducted.

This was stated by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Monday. He added that 15 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 6,627 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate. Shah said that 18,455 samples were tested which detected 1,459 cases that constituted 8 percent current detection rate.

He added that so far 5,411,268 tests have been conducted against which 422,370 cases were diagnosed, of them 86.9 percent or 367,241 patients have recovered, including 766 overnight.

According to the statement, out of 1,459 new cases, 706 have been detected from Karachi, including 313 from East, 194 South, 101 Central, 44 Malir, 38 Korangi, and 16 West. The CM urged people to abide by the SOPs issued by the government.
