Civil work of Red Line BRT project will be signed next week and similar steps are being taken for BRT Yellow Line which is good news for the people of Karachi.
This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Murad chairing a meeting to review Trans karachi projects.
The meeting was attended by Transport Minister Owais Qadir Shah, Administrator MurtazaWahab, Chairperson P&D Shereen Narejo and Secretary Transport Sharq Ahmed. A consultant is being appointed to start the civil work of BRT Red Line next week.
The Transport Department was also hiring a contractor to start the work. It should be noted that the Red Line BRT project It is 26 km long from the airport to the exhibition and it is being started in collaboration with the World Bank.
The meeting also decided to hire consultants and contractors for BRT Yellow so that its work could be started.
The Yellow Line is a 21-km long BRT system that is being launched from Korangi to Numaish.
