Governor Sindh Imran Ismail here on Friday inaugurated new Covid Vaccination Center within the premises of Governor’s House.
The idea is to ensure 100% inoculation of officers & staff of Governor House and their families. Likewise, general public is more than welcome to get themselves inoculated at the vaccination Center.
The Governor said that despite several cases being reported in Pakistan, the situation is better in the country as compared to the rest of the region due to a workable federal government strategy.
He praised National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) for “playing an effective and significant role in controlling the spread of virus.
He urged public to must take some responsibility in following SOPs as this neglect had caused a major spike in infections.
“We want to end all restrictions as early as possible but it depends on meeting the vaccination target in the country. I
t is the responsibility of every eligible citizen to get themselves inoculated as early as possible”, he stressed.
A massive awareness drive has already been started with the support of traders’ organisations, market organisations, restaurant association and ulema, he said, adding that the youths have also been engaged in the campaign to educate citizens about the importance of getting vaccinated.
Amongst others, MPA Khurram SherZaman; Principal Secretary to Governor Sindh Dr Syed Saif ur Rehman; Haji Rafiq Pardesi; Sharfuddin Memon and Advisor to Governor Sindh Umaid Ali Jonejo attended the inauguration ceremony.
