Ch Sarwar announces Overseas Pakistani Convention soon

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar on Monday announced convening a “Overseas Pakistani Convention” at Governor House in which foreign investors will also be invited to invest across the country including Punjab.
While, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated efforts of the governor for launching more than 1,500 new projects under Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority for provision of clean drinking water to people.
According to a statement issued from Governor’s House here, Governor Ch Sarwar had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday.
During the meeting, political, governmental matters and Governor Ch Sarwar’s visit to US and reforms in universities were discussed.
On the occasion, the governor congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on the victory in Azad Kashmir’s elections and apprised the Prime Minister that an Overseas Pakistani Convention at Governor’s House will be convened very soon in which foreign investors, including overseas Pakistanis, will be invited to invest across the country, including Punjab.
Later, Governor Ch Sarwar briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan about provision of clean drinking water to more than 8 million people from more than 1500 projects and schemes of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority across Punjab including Lahore.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, Law Minister Raja Basharat, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Gil, Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib, Chairman Aab-e-Pak Authority Dr Shakeel Ahmed and Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority board’s member Rabia Zia and others were also present.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the projects of Punjab Aab e pak authority and steps taken by Governor to resolve problems of the overseas Pakistanis.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also directed to expedite work on execution of clean drinking water projects.
Talking to media after the meeting, Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar said that all the departments concerned including federal and Punjab government are on the same page for providing clean drinking water to the people of Punjab.
Insha Allah, we will ensure the provision of all basic amenities including clean drinking water to the people as promised.
He further added that with the support of NGOs and without any government fund, they will provide safe drinking water to the same number of people as the number of beneficiaries achieved by the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority.
