The Punjab government has decided a ban on wedding ceremonies in four high-risk cities of the province including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan. The ban will be started from Monday (today) in these cities.
The government completely banned indoor wedding ceremonies in four high-risk districts of Punjab, which would continue till August 31, 2021.
According to a private TV channel on Sunday, the Punjab government had amended its restrictions policy and relaxed the above-mentioned cities for holding indoor ceremonies.
The government, however, allowed outdoor events in these four cities with a capacity of 400 people under strict implementation on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Apart from in these high-risk four districts, indoor wedding ceremonies are allowed under SOPs in all other districts of the province.
Earlier, the Punjab government had announced a ban indoor wedding event in these four districts from August 8 a few days ago.
