One hundred and once Police Inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Inspector General of Police (IG), Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Additional IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi and Sindh Home Secretary performed the ceremony of decorating shoulder badges to newly promoted rankers.
For this a prestigious ceremony of badge decoration was held at the Saleem Wahidi Auditorium in Clifton, Karachi, Wednesday.
IG Dr Imam in his address to the new ranker DSPs said that Policing without discriminatory actions across the board could only bring respect, applause and fame and the new rankers were so blessed by the Almighty Allah that they have availed this opportunity to serve the people and the country diligently and with complete honesty and dedication.
He said that it was the earnest desire of the new rankers to get promoted as they deserved so and hence Police department has so far promoted 4750 officers to new cadres of positions and similar numbers of officers would also see them as promoted in the year to follow this current one.
Police officers have to remain polite and their overall attitude and behaviour should be kind and supporting per the law.
