A van driver crushed his rival to death to avenge the defeat in a cockfight, the police said.
The police said that the incident took place in Kabirwala, District Khanewal on Sunday.
The police informed that van driver Raiz Sahoo hit Muhammad Akbar, a flower seller in front of Abdul Hakeem Town Committee, Kabirwala.
The police registered a case against two accused and with the help of CCTV footage and held the prime accused. The accused confessed to his crime during preliminary interrogation.
The police said that the accused wanted to buy the winner rooster and on denial, he hit Muhammad Akbar. The police informed that the accused did not have a driving license. Further investigation is underway.
