On minister’s directives Rapist of minor girl held, booked

The police claimed to have arrested a rapist and registered an FIR against him following directives by Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam Augustine.

According to details, Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam Augustine took notice of the rape of a minor girl in Raiwind. He directed the police officers to initiate a strict action against the accused.

It was brought into the notice of the provincial minister that a man raped a three-year-old girl in Christian Colony on Sundar Road in Raiwind. Parents of the minor girl accused the police of dillydallying action against the accused.

Ejaz Alam directed the police to provide protection and best possible treatment facilities to the affected minor girl.

The provincial minister said that protection of human rights was being ensured during the tenure of PTI and no one can be allowed to violate human rights. He asked the police to ensure justice to the affected family without any fear or favour.
