The Karakoram Highway between Gilgit to Chilas Diamer, that was closed due to landsliding, has been restored for traffic, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Friday.
The workers of Frontier Works Organization (FWO) have removed debris of landsliding from 23 points and re-opened the road after 48 hours hectic efforts.
Karakoram Highway was blocked at various points between Tatta Pani and Raikot. Despite the difficult terrain and bad weather, the FWO reopened the highway.
Traffic on Karakoram Highway remained suspended for two straight days due to landsliding at various points from Goharabad to Lal Pari in Diamer.
