Pakistan is likely to get delay relief in repayment of debt worth of $1.5 billion from G20 countries dur-ing the first six months (July-Dec) of the current financial year.
According to the Finance Ministry sources, Pakistan will get debt relief from G20 countries for Corona impacts and anti-Covid expenses. However, Paki-stan expects to get 3.78 billion and one million dol-lars debt relief from G20 countries. The estimate has been made to get this debt relief under all three phases.
Pakistan had already received debt relief under the first phase from May to December 2020. In the first phase, 1.60 billion and eight million dollars had been obtained under debt relief.
Meanwhile, Pakistan had also received debt relief under the second phase from January to June 2021. In the second phase, 1.12 billion and one million dollars had been received under debt relief. Now Pakistan will get debt relief under the third phase from July to December 2021. The third phase was estimated at 52 million dollars under debt relief.
