The outgoing Auditor General of Pakistan Javaid Jehangir called on Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and briefed him about the performance, working and the reforms being introduced in the department.
He was accompanied by Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Memon, Additional Auditor GeneralMiandad Rahoojo, Director General Audit Sindh; Saqib Bashir, Director General Works Audit Sindh; Kadir Bukhsh Shar, Director General Local Audit and Muhammad Kashif Director to AGP.
He informed that during last four years, the Audit department has undergone reforms aiming at transforming audit from compliance mode to performance based thematic auditing.
He also highlighted the implementation of AMIS (Audit Management Information System) within the department which will increase and promote internal accountability within the department due to real time access to the data and reporting besides reducing human interface.
The Governor Sindh laid emphasis on continuous professional development (CPD) for officers working on emerging challenging assignments.
