Turkey shows interest to set up institute at Education City

Turkish Consul General TolgaUcak along with a delegation visited Sindh Investment Department here on Tuesdayand met Secretary Investment Sindh Zahid Ali Abbasi.

On this occasion,the CG showed keen interest in establishing an educational institute in Karachi Education City, in which school and college level education will be provided in the beginning.

He expressed his interest for a piece of land for this purpose in Karachi Education City.Secretary Investment Sindh Zahid Ali Abbasiprased the Consul General’s idea of establishing an institution of quality education in Karachi Education City.

He said that Sindh Government would provide all possible cooperation to Turkey in this regard.

He further said that the proposed Turk educational institution would help in the promotion of quality education in Sindh province.

The Secretary Investment Sindh also informed that Karachi Education City would consist of about nine thousand acres of land near National highway-Motor way link road and it was nearer to Karachi Airport and Bin Qasim port.

He told the dignitary that campuses of Aga Khan University, Sir Syed University, Ziauddin University along with Sindh Madarsatul Islam, Benazir Medical college, Cadet College and SZABIST were already functioning in Karachi Education City while other renowned educational institutions were showing their interest in establishing their campuses at the site because of its ideal location and environment.

The Turk delegation thanked the secretary for warm welcome and presentation of detailed briefing. At the end of the meeting Secretary Investment Sindh presented Ajrak to members of Turkish delegation.
