Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday lauded Punjab’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for swiftly arresting all the culprits behind the Lahore blast.
Speaking to media he said that terrorists keep attempting to destabilise Pakistan but they will fail in their nefarious designs. “Pakistan has learned a lot from its past experience,” Qureshi pointed out.
The foreign minister said opposition parities had been calling on the government to take them into confidence on reports about allowing the US to use Pakistan’s airbases for cross-border military action after American troops’ withdrawal from Afghanistan.

In a statement on Tuesday, regarding the progress made in the investigation of Lahore blast, he said our intelligence agencies, Punjab Counter Terrorism Department and police have conducted a scientific investigation deeply and arrested responsible.
Expressing concern over the support of anti-state agencies behind the blast, he said the anti-terror financing investigating agencies should conduct a thorough inquiry exposing elements involved financial resources for such operations.
