Guide companies in FGEIs for ensuring girls participation in national, int’l events

Pakistan Girls Guide Association (PGGA) will set up Guide Companies in Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEIs) to train its nominated girls in scouting and empowering them.

A MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing ceremony between Pakistan Girl Guides Association & Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI) held at Pakistan Girl Guides Association National Headquarters.

The MoU was signed by FGEI director Brig. Waqar Ahmed, and Pakistan Girls Guides Association National Commissioner Mrs. Maria Maud Sabri on behalf of their respective organizations. According to MoU, the staff and faculty of FGEI would be trained as Guide Leaders.

PGGA would provide support and training to the Girl Guide Leaders nominated by FGEI, besides providing them opportunities to participate in national and International events.

The MoU between PGGA and FGEI would enable both organizations to promote Girl Guiding and develop good citizenship among the youth of Pakistan by making them useful and helpful in community development and ultimately becoming good citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Major General M. Asghar appreciated the work of Girl Guides Association and hoped that the partnership between both organizations will help in empowering the girls of the country.
