Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has directed to complete PC-1 of all new schemes of TEVTA by July 15, 2021.
He was chairing a meeting held at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday to discuss progress on TEVTA ongoing schemes and implementation plan for new schemes.
Secretary Industries and Commerce Wasif Khur-shid, Chairman TEVTA Ali Salman Siddique, Chief Operating Officer Rai Manzoor Hussain and con-cerned officers attended the meeting.
Mian Aslam Iqbal said that there will be regular meetings every month to review the implementation on schemes and funds utilization.
He ordered an internal performance audit of the Hunarmand No-jawan program and said that the capacity of TEVTA institutions has been increased from 90,000 to 233,000 and it will be further increased.
He said that admission should be ensured in 403 TEVTA institutions as per the capacity. Action will be taken against the heads of the institutions who do not ensure admission according to the capacity, he added.
The provincial minister said that the apprenticeship program for on-job training would have to be made fruitful.
The on-job training in special economic zones would have to be planned in consultation with the stakeholders and the courses would be changed as per the requirements of the industry, he main-tained.
Mian Aslam Iqbal directed that a plan should be drawn up for the consumption of skilled manpower abroad in collaboration with embassies abroad.
