Cash disbursement to bomb blast victims begins

On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, disbursement of cash to those affected by the bomb blast in Johar Town, has started on Sunday.

In this connection, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik went to Jinnah Hospital on Sunday to distribute cheques to family members of those who were martyred as well as those who were injured in the bomb blast.

MS Jinnah Hospital, ADCR, ADC headquarters and other officers were also present on the occasion.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik told the media that an injured woman, Safia Bibi, was given a cheque of cash assistance amounting to Rs1.7 million for her martyred husband and son and an injured son.

Similarly, injured Abdur Rehman, Muhammad Intizar, Zahida Bibi and Muhammad Atif Ali were handed cheques of Rs1.2 million each.

He further said that Muhammad Saeed and Sheikh Azhar were given the cheques of Rs0.1 million and Rs0.5 million, respectively to compensate them for the damage caused to their property in the blast.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that more cheques would be distributed among family members of those who were killed, injured as well as those who suffered financial losses in the terrorist incident, adding these would be distributed in a day or two.

The Deputy Commissioner said in all Rs9 million would be distributed among the victims of Lahore bomb blast.
