Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) could not move ahead from arresting constable, clerk and Patwatri on Saturday also five such peoples were arrested who were allegedly involved in taking bribe.
Spokesman for Anti Corruption said that ACE arrested five bribe-takers, including sub-engineers, gurdwaras, patwaris, secretary union council and traffic police constable and registered cases against them.
According to spokesman for Anti-Corruption Punjab, Muhammad Tariq Cheema, sub-engineer of irrigation department was arrested from Sahiwal.
The accused was arrested for embezzling development funds and causing heavy damage to public exchequer.
In second raid Shaukat Patwari and Mumtaz Gardawar were arrested by the Lahore High Court on pre-arrest bail.
Case No. 9/20 has been registered against Shaukat Patwari and Mumtaz Gardawar in Anti-Corruption Chiniot Police Station.
Meanwhile, the third raid was conducted in khushab where Anti-Corruption Khushab arrested Constable Ansar Iqbal posted in the Licensing Branch.
The accused received Rs 15,000 as bribe from the plaintiff in exchange for issuing a driving license.
Fourth accused Ansar Iqbal Constable was arrested in the presence of a civil judge. A case has been registered after recovering bribe money from the accused.
The 5th Anti-Corruption Region B arrested Secretary Union Council Dhadi Muhammad Riaz from Kasur. The Secretary Union Council issued two different death certificates of one deceased.
The DG Anti-Corruption said that indiscriminate operations were being carried out against corrupt government officials across Punjab.
