It looks like that Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam funds campaign supported by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Supreme Court are facing stagnation owing to the lack of interest shown by the donors and authorities, it was learnt on Sunday.
Sources said that the fund campaign that once was spurred by special interest shown by then Supreme Court chief justice Saqib Nisar in 2018 is now in the doldrums as no donations are coming to the crowdfunding scheme.
The last amount which landed in the Diamer-Bhasha Dam and Mohmand Dam funds campaign was of Rs1,000 deposited by one Imran Shahid from Dubai on March 8 last.
The total funds amounting to Rs11,100 have been deposited in the dam fund during the current year. Since the start of the funding campaign, Rs12.93 billion inclusive profit have been collected so far.—INP
