The Vice-Chancellor of University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi has undergone surgery for a hernia at a hospital here on Wednesday.
He has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences where his health is satisfactory after the surgery.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, Vice-Chancellor Abbasi was shifted to Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences after suffering from a hernia, where he was operated upon by eminent surgeon of the hospital, Prof. Dr Zaid Afzal Kayani while Anesthesiologist Dr Mushtaq and his team assisted.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir President, Sardar Masood Khan, Minister for Information Technology and Population Welfare Dr. Mustafa Bashir, Dean Faculty of Medical Sciences Azad Jammu and Kashmir University, Prof. Dr. Bashir-ur- Rehman Kanth, Executive Director AIMS, Dr. Masood Bukhari, distinguished cardiologist Dr. Muhammad Saleem Abbasi, Dunya News Bureau Chief Aslam Mir expressed good wishes for Dr. Kaleem Abbasi and prayed for his quick recovery.
