Shikarpur
Every citizen has many rights in the society, but those persons, who have disability, are more rights in comparison with common man in the society. In this connection “White Cane Safety Day” was observed by Pakistan Association of Blind Shikarpur, here on Monday.
Abdul Jabbar Mirani, Allah Wasayo Mirani, the president and general secretary, respectively, of Shikarpur branch, arranged the program with the help of Agha Munir Khan Pathan to highlight the importance of the day.
The Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur, Rahim Bakhsh Maitlo and the SSP Shikarpur Dr Muhammad Rizwan Ahmed were chief guests while Aqeel Abbas Soomro, the Municipal Committee Chairman Shikarpur was honorable guest in the program. Speaking on the occasion, leaders highlighted the importance of White Cane Safety Day and appreciated the efforts of disabled persons for organizing such massive program and offered their help to resolve the outstanding issues being faced by disabled persons.
A large number of people belonging to different walk of life attended the program and expressed their pleasure and vowed to resolve the issues of disabled people on priority and acclaimed the efforts of Pakistan Association of Blind Shikarpur on organizing program.
