In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism have martyred 904 children during the last 32 years.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, today, revealed that 904 children were among the 95,791 Kashmiris martyred by Indian troops from January 01, 1989 till date.

The report said that the killing of civilians by the troops rendered 107,821 children orphaned in the territory during the period.

The report said hundreds of boys and girls aged below 20 have been martyred during cordon and search operations and fake encounters, while a large number of them are facing illegal detentions under black laws in different jails of the occupied territory.

The report said that scores of youngsters including male and female students were also injured and dozens of them were blinded due to the pellets fired by Indian troops since 2016.

Additionally, an official document reveals that a surge is being witnessed in the number of cases of coronavirus among children in the territory.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement in Srinagar condemned the arbitrary and illegal arrests by Indian forces’ personnel across the territory.

He castigated the Modi-led communal Indian government for its cruel attitude towards the IIOJK people.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in a statement in Srinagar said India is the worst country in the world as its human rights record is below those countries that have been declared as rouge nations by the UN.

Meanwhile, posters continued to appear in different parts of Srinagar against continued illegal detentions of Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth languishing in different jails of the territory and in India.

Youth took to the streets and clashed with Indian troops after they resorted to indiscriminate firing when a patrolling party of Indian forces came under attack near Kralpora in Badgam district, today. The troops used brute force to disperse the protesters.

Juma prayers could not be held at historic Jamia Masjid, Dargah Hazratbal and other major mosques, shrines and imambargahs in Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory due to the severe restrictions imposed by the authorities.

Indian authorities have booked a journalist, Sajid Raina, over a WhatsApp status showing 20 children who died in boat capsize incident of May 30, 2006 at Wular Lake in Sopore as martyrs.

Meanwhile, despite the severity of coronavirus in IIOJK and India, Indian Army Chief, MM Naravane, talking to media during his visit to Srinagar boasted that the army was prepared for Amarnath Yatra and has taken all the necessary steps for the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

Analysts talking to Kashmir Media Service said that the arrival of large number of Hindus in IIOJK for Amarnath Yatra would not only lead to rapid spread of deadly COVID-19 but would also cause environment pollution which will be very harmful to the people of IIOJK.

They said that the annual yatra will be the second blunder of the Modi regime after Kumbh Mela due to which the coronavirus engulfed the whole India and led to a large number of deaths.

The Chairman of IIOJK-chapter of Sikh Intellectual Circle, Narendra Singh Khalsa, in an interview in Jammu said the people of India were misled by Bharatiya Janata Party that claimed revocation of Article 370 will lead to massive development but nothing of that sort has happened in the occupied territory so far.—KMS
