Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) and the Hashmani Group of Hospitals here on Wednesday inked a memorandum of understanding to provide health facilities to the employees and students of the SMIU.
SMIU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon and the Chief Executive Officer of Hashmani Group of Hospitals Arslan Hashmani signed the documents at the VC Secretariat.
The Hashmani Group of Hospitals would set up medical camps and conduct health awareness sessions at different occasions of SMIU staff.Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon briefed the delegation about university and said the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the workind conditions, adding, taking responsibility of safety of employees and students, they have taken the initiative.
SMI is a historical institute and relationship with it is considered an honour for any organization, said Professor Memon.
He said that he wanted to continue a strong and better relationship with Hashmani Group of Hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Arslan said the Hashmani Group of Hospitals would also collaborate in other areas, including internships and scholarships for the SMIU students.
SMIU Registrar Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh, Dr Syed Asif Ali, Dr Zahid Ali Channar, Dean Prof. Dr. Jamshed Adil, Director ORIC Dr. Amer Iqbal and Mr. Ammar Shakeel Corporate Manager, Hashmanis group of hospitals witnessed the MoU signing ceremony.
Prof. Memon also presented a shield to the Chief Executive Officer Hashmani Group of Hospitals.
