At least eight people were killed and went missing while two others were rescued when a vehicle skidded-off the road and fell into river in Upper Chitral on Sunday.
The incident took place in Northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP, district Chitral where a land cruiser got out of control at Ornach Bridge and plunged into Yarkhun River.
The ill-fated vehicle reportedly was going to Markhon from Dir. Two passengers swam to safety while eight are still missing.
According to police, the accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence. Eight people were killed and went missing till filing of this report.
