On a tipp off, Enforcement network squad of intelligence and investigation inland revenue Hyderabad, took action and confiscates a huge quantity of counterfeit and non duty paid cigarette.
According to details, after receiving secret information, a team lead by deputy commissioner Abdur Rasool Golu raided a godwon in Tando Muhammad Khan and confiscated more than 1.2 million illegal and counterfeit cigarette sticks.
The action was taken under supervision of Faisal Memon director intelligence and investigation IREN Hyderabad and Dr Aslam Mari, Regional coordinator IREN for Sindh and Balochistan. Further investigation is underway.

FBR is doing operation at large scale against criminals involved in illegal cigarettes trade in Sindh and this raid is also part of that operation.
Prime Minister Imran khan directed FBR to take stern action against people involved in illegal trade of cigarettes.
The recent operation against non duty paid and counterfeit cigarettes is part of implementation on PM directives.
