Says Pak-Sino friendship has no precedent in history

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday announced abolition of unnecessary amendments in Sugar Factories Control Act to make it farmer-friendly, saying that the government do whatever required for welfare and prosperity of the farmers. “Bumper crops have been produced and farmers have been rewarded for their hard work.”
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was talking with Pakistan Kissan Ittehad (PKI) Central President Khalid Khokhar who called on the CM and discussed different issues.
The CM said that the sugarcane farmers had to protest on roads for payment of dues in the past and they remained hostage to the powerful mafia.
“The PTI government has given farmers their rights and legal protection has been provided to sugarcane growers,” he added.
He said that all pending dues worth Rs26 billion have been got recovered from sugar mills and the sugarcane farmers will get full reward for their hard work in future as well.
The farmers’ rights will be protected and more facilities will be provided to increase yield, he added.
2021 will be the year to increase productivity and policies will be formulated in consultation with farmers, he assured.
Provincial ministers – Hussain Jahanian Gardezi, Saeedul Hassan Shah, Dr Akhtar Malik, Advisor Hanif Patafi, secretaries of agriculture and food departments and others attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar said the journey of strong brotherly relational between Pakistan and China spans over 70 years and the journey of seven decades is filled with the strong passions of brotherly love, affection and sincerity.
In his message, the CM said the friendship between Pakistan and China has no similarity in history and this association has met every challenge of time.
The Pakistan-China friendship is appreciated in the global community as both the countries are intertwined in the strong bonds of respect, honour and affection, he added.
The relations have been further strengthened with the passage of time and the Pakistan-Chine friendship is touching new heights in the tenure of PM Imran Khan, the CM said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar distributed grant-in-aid cheques, valuing Rs66 million to high court bar association Bahawalpur and Multan, district and tehsil bar associations at a ceremony held at his office which was also attended by provincial ministers Raja Basharat, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Syed Hussain Jahanian Gardezi, Dr Akhtar Malik, Advocate General Punjab and Secretary Law.
Meanwhile, Federal Defence Minister Pervaiz Khatak called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Both agreed to further strengthen bilateral contacts while Pervaiz Khatak appreciated the Punjab government’s anti-corona efforts.
