Dr Yasmin reviews vacation process at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid monitored vaccination process at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh in her visit here on Monday.

Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Sarah Aslam, Commissioner Lahore Division Capt (r) Usman Younis; SP Headquarters Imran Malik and other officials also accompanied the minister.

Dr Yasmin Rashid took a round of the vaccination centre wherein both the P&SH Secretary and the Commissioner Lahore briefed the health minister about the arrangements at the centre.

Dr Yasmin Rashid interacted with the staff at counters and monitored the vaccination process.

Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said that more than 9,000 vaccine doses have been provided for the vaccination of police officers of age group of over 40 years.

The staff of Primary and Secondary healthcare Department will deliver services at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh hospital.

Police personnel are frontline workers and we will protect the lives of police personnel serving on frontline.

The data of police personnel over 40 serving in Lahore has been received. In the next phase all frontline workers over 40 shall be vaccinated in the province.

The police personnel getting vaccinated today shall be vaccinated again after 21 days. All institutions are united in battle against Corona Pandemic. Frontline workers deserve most attention in battle against corona.

The Primary and Secondary healthcare Department is in complete coordination with the Police staff.

Commissioner Lahore Capt (r) Usman Younis said all arrangements were being monitored at the vaccination centre to facilitate police staff.

SP Headquarters Imran Malik expressed gratitude to the Health Minister for provision of vaccination services for police.

Meanwhile, Dr Yasmin Rashid directed the Punjab chief secretary and senior civil and military officials to spare no effort in controlling the spread of the virus as the next 15 to 20 days are very critical.

She said that people should celebrate Eidul Fitr with simplicity and show responsibility by taking precautionary measures.

The purpose of giving more holidays on the occasion of Eidul Fitr is to limit the public’s movement, she added.
