On the orders of Punjab IG Police Inam Ghani, operations are being carried out in all districts of the province to improve the process of protection of life and property of the people.
In this regard, under the leadership of DPO Faisal Shehzad, Okara Police have been fighting day and night against anti-social elements.
During the last month, 19 district police stations have arrested a total of 232 proclaimed offenders and other suspects involved in various crimes and recovered large quantities of drugs and illegal weapons.
Regarding the details of police operations, DPO Faisal Shehzad said that district police arrested 09 members of 02 gangs in the last 30 days and recovered stolen property worth more than one million.
In 95 cases of illegal weapons, 395 bullets including 2 Kalashnikovs, 11 guns, 6 rifles, 78 pistols, 5 carbines were recovered.
Regarding the ongoing drug eradication operations, the DPO said that last month, the police recovered 85.462kg of hashish, 1406 litres of liquor and four activated kilns from the possession of the accused.
In addition, 43 cases of over speeding, 10 cases of bogus number plates, 06 cases of substandard cylinders, 13 cases of gambling and 11 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act were registered in the district.
DPO Faisal Shehzad said that full scale operations against anti-social elements would continue. The district police are fully alert for the discharge of its duties.
The people should consider the police as their protectors and helpers and immediately inform the concerned police about the presence of suspicious persons around them and no sacrifice will be spared for the protection of wealth and lives of people.
