Says govt believes in supremacy of law as no one is above law

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday said this is a credit of the PTI government that during the two and a half year not a single corruption scandal has surfaced against the government.
“PTI government, for the first time in the history of Pakistan, has set an example of transparency. Now, no one can dare to misappropriate national resources.”
The chief minister said that billions of rupees were looted in the previous tenures and the former rulers made records of corruption by taking kickbacks and commissions in different projects. He said that in the previous regimes, every new day revealed a new scandal of corruption.
He said that the PDM gang is soaked with corruption. The nation has not yet forgotten the stories of looting and plundering of former rulers.
He said that the incumbent government has tightened the noose of corrupt elements. The country making progress under the honest leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Confidence of national and international investors has been restored on the government policies, he added.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of the wife of Arif Lohar famous folk singer.
The chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
Meanwhile, CM Usman Buzdar also expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Talat Siddiqui a famous actress of the past.
The chief minister extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the PTI government believes in the supremacy of law.
The chief minister said that no one is above the law and it is equal for all. The rule of law will be ensured in the province at any costs.
The government will not let anyone take the law into one’s own hands as no compromise will be made on the rule of law.
The government has not targeted anyone for political victimization nor it has such plans. The government doesn’t believe in revenge but accountability, transparency and merit.
Usman Buzdar asserted that the PTI government will continue to take indiscriminate action against the corrupt mafia at every level. He regretted that free hand was given to this mafia in the past.
Former governments promoted the culture of nepotism in the name of merit. The incumbent government is giving priority to merit and justice in discharging its duties.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that in a wake of the corona pandemic alarming situation the lockdown will be lasted till May 16, across the Punjab.
Corona situation is being monitored on daily basis as safeguarding the lives of the people is the top priority of the government.
Citizens will have to be extra careful during the eid holidays.
Wearing a mask is mandatory for every citizen whenever going out.
The spread of coronavirus can only be stopped by following the government’s guidelines. An irresponsible attitude will further intensify the situation, Usman Buzdar warned.
He urged the citizens to remain in their homes during eid holidays. Usman Buzdar said that the government has taken effective measures for providing medical facilities to the corona affectees.
The number of ventilators and oxygen beds has been increased in public sector hospitals, the CM said, while lauding services of health workers for the treatment of Corona patients.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar strongly condemned the attack on the girls’ school in Kabul and expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of innocent students. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured students.
Usman Buzdar said that we equally share the grief of the heirs of deceased students. He termed this attack brutality and barbaric act.
