Teenage girl dies in blaze at Gujrat shopping mall

A 15-year old girl was killed while dozens of shops and apartments were gutted in a blaze that broke out at a shopping mall in Gujrat, about 112 kilometres (70 miles) north of Lahore, on Wednesday.
The fire erupted at Alina Shopping Mall, located on Bhimber Road, and soon engulfed over a dozen shops and 60 apartments.
At least 20 vehicles were also damaged in the fire.
The girl died after being trapped in an apartment part of the shopping complex. At least 14 rescue teams participated in the operation to control the fire.
Eight floors were destroyed as a result of the fire which remained out of control for several hours.
