Sindh govt, KMC fails to launch campaign against stray dogs

Sindh government and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) have failed to launch an anti-pye dog campaign to eliminate the menace of stray dogs in district Central, Karachi.

An official at the district Central administration told PPI that the menace of stray dogs had assumed alarming proportions in various parts of the city including district Central, as a result of which dog-bite cases had jumped to high level.

In various areas of district Central, one can see stray dogs roaming freely in the streets and main thoroughfares, posing threat to the citizens, particularly children.

The stray dogs, including sick and seriously injured ones, also roam in and around busy commercial areas as well as parks and playground such as Nusrat Bhutto Colony, Khalilabad, Bilal Colony, Mujahid Colony, Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri , Khameeso Goth and Godhra and others areas of city.

The citizens have demanded of the government to take action agains the stray dogs.
