3rd session of development Talks Series (#PnDDevTalks) held

The third session of development Talks Series (#PnDDevTalks) was held under chairmanship of Mr. Asif Mehmood, Advisor to Chief Minister on Tourism, regarding Tourism Sector at Planning & Development Board.

The objective of the talks was to include the inputs of private stakeholders in the ADP Formulation 2021-22 to support the tourism sector. People from different tourism institutes, media persons and representatives from public departments from all over Punjab participated in the session.

From upcoming tourism policies, upgradation, ideas for economic growth and strategies were discussed. Expert shared their thoughts and comments on the prevailing provincial issues of tourism.

The key objective of the talk series was to bridge the gap between private and public sector before preparing and finalizing ADP 2021-22.

On the occasion Advisor to Chief Minister on Tourism Mr. Asif Mehmood said that the tourism industry has a big potential in terms of employment and attraction for national and international tourists.

Government of Punjab believes that GDP contribution of Tourism sector can be increased with the strategic planning and inclusive budgeting and currently we are in the execution phase. Chairman P&D Board Mr Abdullah Khan Sumbal said that we appreciate the productive input of private stakeholders of the sector.

It is true that only developed and progressed society can improve its infrastructure and economy.

Punjab aims to include all new ideas in upcoming ADP of Punjab province with the useful stakeholders’ deliberation.

Secretary P&D Board Imran Sikandar Baloch, Secretary Tourism Ehsan Bhutta and Additional Secretary Ms. Nabila Irfan participated in the session.
