Led by Commissioner Lahore Division Capt (retd) Muhammad Usman and CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, the administration along with personnel of Law Enforcement Agencies carried out a flag march on Wednesday to raise a sense of security among the citizens and raise awareness of Coiv-19 SOPs.
According to details, Army, Rangers and police personnel took part in the flag march on the eighth day to review the implementation of Corona SOPs.
The flag march started from the Police Lines, went to Town Hall and passed through Mall Road, Regal, Punjab Assembly, Governor House and Canal Road.
The participants of the march distributed masks to citizens and made arrests for not wearing mask.
The Commissioner Lahore and CCPO reviewed the implementation of the lockdown after 6 pm. The Commissioner Lahore said that it is better to wear a mask than to go to the ventilator.
He said that the new restrictions against Corona virus would be strictly enforced and major highways and shopping malls of Lahore were being checked. Those involved in violation of SOPs do not deserve any concessions.
It may be mentioned that recently Commissioner Lahore Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman had tweeted a video of the announcements made from the mosques.
In a Twitter message, the commissioner has made a special appeal to the citizens to implement the Corona SOPS.
The commissioner said in a tweet that wearing a mask can save from the ventilator, citizens should be careful for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Life is very precious.
