With massive applaud across Asia, Virtual University is proudly hosting the 33rd Annual Conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities 2019. The 3 days Conference started today at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was the chief guest of the ceremony and Federal Secretary for IT and Telecom, Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui was the guest of honor along with Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan Mr. Naeem Tariq and Prof. Dr. Melinda President AAOU. DR. Masroor Ellahi Babar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology Virtral university AAOU 2019 Conference Chair and Dr, Nasir Naveed Conference co-chair were part of the inauguration ceremony.
Conference speakers included scholars from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippine, China, Vietnam, India, Burma, Malaysia, Japan, Iran, and Maldives.
Addressing the conference, the minister for IT and Telecom Khalid Maqbool said 5G-technology was being introduced in the country which would enable the users to swiftly access the internet. He said AAOU could play an effective role in promoting IT sector in Pakistan.
