The prices of major cryptocurrencies, except for bitcoin, continued an upward trend on Thursday, consolidating the gains made in previous days.
As of 1215 hours GMT, bitcoin, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency, shed 1.62 percent to reach $54,093.
With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of the BTC has reached $1.01 trillion.
However, ethereum (ETH) gained 3.29 percent to reach $2,775. With this increase in price, the market capitalisation of ETH reached $320.8 billion.
Similarly, Binance Coin (BNB) gained 8.12 percent to reach $604. The market capitalisation of BNB stands at $93.1 billion after this increase.
Likewise, XRP reached $1.40 with a 4.30 percent increase in its price. Its market capitalisation has reached $63.5 billion with this increase.
On the other hand, the price of tether (USDT) remained flat at $1. The market capitalisation of the USTD stands at $51 billion.
Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs has published a note outlining some problems with bitcoin as digital gold.—Agencies
