The role of Ulema is of great significance in sensitizing people to follow coronavirus SOPs and make wazu from their house while coming for prayers besides mosques should be thoroughly washed with chemical water before every prayer.
A meeting of the District Peace Committee (DPC) was held with Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali in the chair to take stock of corona situation in the district and chalk out measures for protecting the masses from the coronavirus.
SSP Operations Muhammad Afzal, Pak Army Major Ali and leading scholars attended the meeting.
The DC welcomed the participants and informed them about the current situation of third and most dangerous wave of corona virus.
He informed that wards of govt hospitals were nearly filled to capacity with patients and precautionary measures/ implementation on SoPs are utmost necessary to defeat the virus.
He appealed to the cleric from all sects to sensitize the people to stay mostly at home and use facemask while going out.
He said that we should proved to be a responsible citizen because precaution was a only way to save from Corona and district govt is also using all source of publicity in this regard. He urged that ulema should sensitized people to take wazu from their house.
He said that mosques should be thoroughly washed with chemical water and prayers should be prayed on the open floor with implemented corona SoPs.
He clear that people noticed the message of Ulema so they should spread this message through pulpits and Itkaf should be held at house.
Deputy Commissioner said that their excellent services in maintaining the atmosphere of social peace and religious tolerance were commendable.
He said that district administration would maintain close contact with the religious scholars and would always welcome their suggestions for the establishment of peace.
Maulana Muhammad Yousaf Anwar; Sahibzada Faiz Rasool Rizvi; Maulana Muhammad Riaz Kharl; Syed Jaffar Naqvi; Dr Iftikhar Naqvi; Mumtaz Hussain; Abdul Rasheed and other Ulema appreciated the administration’s steps to protect citizens from coronavirus and assured their full cooperation for the implementation of SoPs during Taraweeh and prayers time.
Later, the DC visited clock tower and inspected implementation of corona SoPs. He asked the traders to extend cooperation to the administration otherwise strict action would be taken against violation of SoPs.
