In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad Siddiqui, Mir Shahid Saleem, Devinder Singh Behl and Sikh Intellectual Circle Chairman Narender Singh Khalsa and others have expressed condolences over the deaths of the sister of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and wife of Ayaz Akbar.
The leaders in their statements issued in Srinagar said that the two families had contributed a lot in the ongoing struggle. Waza’s deceased sister was also wife of Hurriyat leader Ghazi Manzoor Ahmad.
Hurriyat leader Bilal Siddiqui along with a delegation including Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Reyaz Ahmed, Rafiq Ahmed and Aijaz Rasool visited bereaved families in Srinagar to offer condolences.
The delegation also condoled over the death of Jamia Masjid Mouzin Muhammad Yaseen Shah.
A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Young Men’s League including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Tahoor Sidiqi and Amir Dar also visited the residence of APHC jailed leader, Ayaz Akbar and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Youth leader Umar Adil Dar and Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Justice Party (JKDJP) Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmed Baba also expressed sympathies with Mukthar Ahmed Waza.
Meanwhile, party Vice Chairman, Zahid Ashraf in a statement expressed grief over the sad demise of wife of Ayaz Akbar and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Hurriyat leader and Jammu and Kashmir National Front Vice Chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement in Islamabad expressed deep sense of shock over the death of the sister of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Butt on Sunday expressed his condolences on the demise of wife of Gazi Manzoor Ahmad and sister of senior resistance leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza.—KMS
