The Customs Department has retrieved one kilogram gold from the possession of a passenger at Lahore International Airport intending to leave for Japan, on Friday.
A passenger, Fahim Ali Shah, resident of Sargodha, was flying to Japan from Emirates flight via Dubai when the Customs officials on the instructions of assistant collector custom Sidra Munawwar Kazmi detained Fahim at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
The Customs officials recovered from his possession a gold bracelet and gold necklace worth Rs9 million and one kilogram in weight.
