Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat on Tuesday said that settling issues with Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan was a good omen for the country and the nation due to which the country had been in turmoil for the past few days.
He said that this had also removed the severe difficulties faced by the people in terms of travelling and transportation.
Raja Basharat said that no Muslim’s faith is complete without a firm belief in the end of prophethood and Prime Minister Imran Khan was the only leader who had already effectively raised the issue of blasphemy globally and now resolved to intensify the campaign.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar had also reiterated his commitment that no attempt to harm the belief in the end of prophethood would be tolerated.
The Law Minister said that the parties would ensure all possible implementation of the decisions taken with the TLP.
He slammed the opposition and said that it was reprehensible for the opposition to exploit politics in such a difficult situation.
He said that the issue of end of prophethood is not political but an integral part of all Muslims’ religion and faith.
Raja Basharat further said that the government’s normalization with the TLP had thwarted the anti-national agenda of some politicians.
He said that rule of law was paramount in any civilized society, therefore, when there appears any harm to the security of the country and the nation, the opposition should support the government.
