Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday forecast hot and dry weather in most plain areas of the country during the next 24 hours.
While dust-thunderstorm with light rain was expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, Potohar region, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during evening/night whereas continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country.
A shallow westerly wave was present over upper parts of the country, MET office reported.
Maximum temperature’s recorded in (°C): Chhor45, Dadu, Mohenjo-Daro 44, Padidan, Rohri, Larkana, Mithi and Nawab shah 43 degrees centigrade.
The Quetta Met Office has forecast mainly hot and dry weather in southern and eastern parts of province during next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded at 11.0 degree centigrade and 06.5 degree centigrade in Ziarat on Monday.
Regional Meteorological Center Peshawar Monday forecast partly cloudy weather in most parts of the province during the next 24 hours.
However, in its daily report, the meteorological center says that rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty wind is expected at a few places including Chitral, Lower and Upper Dir, Bajaur, Swat, Shangla, Bunner, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kohat, Kurram, Hangu and Karak districts.—APP
