Islamabad Excise and Taxation department has issued new guidelines with strict precautionary measures to contain the third wave of coronavirus pandemic.
Applicants having online appointment were being entertained for new registration of vehicles and transfer of ownership, said Director Excise, Bilal Azam.
Talking to media, he said all leasing companies/Banks could send only one nominated focal person for the new registration of vehicles.
The applicants might avail door step service for vehicle registration and transfer of ownership through contact No. 051-90395386 and 051-2775386.
He said those coming for collection of smart card were asked to check the delivery status of their smart card on excise website before visiting the office.
Timing would be observed for delivery of registration cards from 03:00pm to 07:00 pm.
To a query, Azam said token tax were being collected through online means like ‘City Islamabad app’ mobile bank app or via ATM.
All Registered Motor Vehicles Dealers having at least 10 or more files for new registration or transfer of ownership might also avail the door step facility after booking an online appointment, he added.
He maintained that registration for professional tax, bed tax, Motor Vehicle Dealers, Real Estate Agents and tobacco venders fee was added in door step service.
