A woman in a bid to get rid of devils, sacrificed her three children to please the demons on Sunday.
According to police, the woman, identified as Najma, a resident of Gulshan Hayat Park in Ferozwala, was convinced by an exorcist that she was possessed by demons and the only way to get rid of them was to sacrifice her children.
The woman hanged her two sons and a daughter on Sunday on the exorcist’s instigation.
The children included 12-year-old Bilal, eight-year-old Talha and five-year-old daughter. The neighbours while recording their accounts said they did hear the screams of the children and by the time they entered the house all children had died.
According to the woman, the exorcist had assured her that she will remain alive if she sacrifices her children to please demons.
The police have launched investigation into the incident.
