Needless political stalemate

When political workers rise from the grassroots level, they emerge as mature individuals, with tolerance for dissent, trained to work as team mates.

There is no place for egoistic pursuits in the political arena, where democracy and people’s will must dominate.

It is the political process with free and fair elections that separate the chaff from the wheat. PDM has become a victim of the egoistic immaturity of its leadership.

The All-India Muslim League was one such party, and so was the Congress or Khudai-Khidmatgar headed by Bacha Khan, although they had varied goals.

All these political parties, despite their differences, wanted independence from tyrannical British Raj, which had over a century, indulged in institutionalized plunder of the subcontinent and sowed seeds of divide and rule, which unfortunately has been adopted by remnants of the Raj.

Despite all these pitfalls Quaid-i-Azam, because of his commitment, emerged as a leader of all Muslims, who believed that Congress was slave to Hindu supremacists and their belief that Hindus and Muslims were two separate nations and could not live together as one nation. Modi has proven that the likes of Abul Kalam Azad were wrong.

Pakistan’s political problems started when those politicians who had risen from grass roots in the political struggle waged by All India Muslim League were banned from politics under EBDO by a military dictator and political engineering process started, creating King’s party under varied brand names.

We have witnessed the shameless manner in which Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was subjected to a slanderous campaign and called a traitor, by those, who themselves were serving interests of foreign powers.

It is also very ironic that those who opposed the political struggle for independence from British Colonial Raj and served them were exempted from restrictions imposed by EBDO.

Let us not forget the political drama where a tinpot dictator chose his own brother as an Opposition Leader.

A beautiful illusion

Can Kashmir really exist as an independent state? Since 5th August 2019, when India abrogated Articles 370 and 35-A, there emerged different types of discussion among the masses especially among the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. A lot of propaganda also played main role in this scenario

. India also used and uses the game for own benefit. People of AJK are involved in three level of comprehensive debate, first level determines those people who support Pakistan and they want to merge with Pakistan.

Second level dictates those people who live in confusion either to join Pakistan or demand independent Kashmir.

Third level consists of three categories of people. One category believes in Independent Kashmir without any logical reason, second believes in Dogra Harisingh’s principles and they ignore the reality. Third category does not really know what they are actually doing.

Their top leaders collaborated with India and they try to turn the mindset of masses towards their own interest.

There is a debate, can really Kashmir exist an independent state? How can a state that consists of a few cities exist as an independent state? People of Ladakh always turned out to be in opposition against Kashmiris. People of Gilgit-Baltistan always supported the mergence with Pakistan.

One thing should be kept in mind that when nationalists say Pakistan should not interfere then they are actually batting for Western interference to wreak the entire region in flames and chaos. There are two options in the UN Charter, Pakistan or India.

n 19th July 1947, Kashmiris decided to join Pakistan, when Harisingh martyred thousands of innocent Muslims of J&K.

When they preferred migrating towards Pakistan via Sialkot border, Harisingh forces started killing them.

Kashmiri Poonch Rebels called for help and tribals went there for Jihad against brutal Dogra and Indian forces.

he realistic thing is that Kashmiris must join Pakistan if referendum happens, they should not repeat the same mistake.

Robin Raphel, an American diplomat and CIA analyst, has also explained all the foreign agenda behind independent Kashmir.

United Nation wants to settle NATO forces in South Asia. There is a need to look into the bigger picture.

Child labour

Child labour robs children of their future. According to given statistics, more than 12.5 million children are involved in child labour in our country.

“The Employment of Children Act, 1991” had received the approval of the President of Pakistan on April 2, 1991 to be exact.

This law proscribes the employment of children in certain occupations and regulates the conditions regarding work for children.

“The Punjab Restriction on Employment of Children Act, 2016” is another law in this context.

But despite the existence of these Acts, the menace of child labour in the country continues. This shows that the problem lies in the non-implementation of these laws.

These days, due to Covid-19, these children are in worse condition and without a safety net.

There are various reasons of child labour: Parents are illiterate and are unaware of the importance of education and put their children to work in tender age.

Another reason is that parents cannot fulfil needs of their family and their children then the children become bread-earner in the age of enjoying their lives.

But the change starts with us! We need to change the mindset of their parents and provide awareness about the importance of education.

Children are the future of any country. Our government should support these children financially and enforce laws to eradicate this menace from the country.
