Captain (Retd) Muhammad Khurram Agha has assumed office as the new Chairman of the National Highway Authority.
Communications Minister Murad Saeed has endorsed/ratified the appointment of Agha as new NHA’s Chief.
Agha is an officer of Pakistan Administrative Service and have been serving the nation in different capacities and at different high-level posts.
Throughout his career, he has been lauded for his commitment to the profession and zeal for service.
Prior to assuming the office of the NHA Chairman, was serving as Chief Secretary, Gilgit Baltistan (GB).
Previously he also served in capacity of Secretary, HUD&PHE Punjab, Additional Secretary, Home, Punjab and Director Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
He also performed duties as Additional Secretary (Welfare) S&GA Department, Punjab, Managing Director (MD) Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PCRA), District Coordination Officer (DCO), Vehari and District Coordination Officer (DCO), Multan.
Moreover, Khurram Agha had also executed the services as Secretary, Implementation & Coordination Wing of S&GA Department, Government of the Punjab, Commissioner Multan Division and Minister of Trade, Embassy of Pakistan in Washington DC. He also served as focal person of the popular Multan Package executed by the federal government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
