Assures teachers of resolution to their justified demands

Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the Punjab government is committed to promote quality education in the province, adding that the government will fulfill this agenda with the help of teachers.
She said this while talking to media flanked by Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat after holding successful talks with the protesting teachers on the directives of CM Usman Buzdar.
Dr Firdous said that the problems of teachers will be resolved and their justified demands will be fulfilled. After successful negotiations, the teachers announced the end of 11-day protest.
Earlier, in her tweet, the Special Assistant said the Punjab government has fixed Rs1,800 per maund wheat support price and the procurement target has been enhanced from 3.5 million to 5 million metric tones.
Dr Firdous said the provision of gunny bags will start from April 1st in the province. Giving the details, the Special Assistant said that farmers will easily get their gunny bags from the food department.
The centre in-charge will release 500 gunny bags to each farmer while the permission of the director food will be required to get more than 1,000 bags.
The Special Assistant deplored that farmers were not paid dues in time in the past and it was the PTI government that released the pending dues of farmers’ crops which they sold to the government in the PML-N era. Now, the farmers will be paid the price of their agri-crop well in time, she ensured.
Meanwhile, Punjab Minister for Auqaf Syed Saeed Al Hassan Shah visited Hafizabad district on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab. A report on the performance of departments was presented in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, he said that Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was visiting all districts to review problems of the people.
He said that the provincial cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister was working day and night for the betterment of the people. Public issues are being solved on priority basis through open door policy and holding open courts.
They are working with the mission of public service to provide affordable items in Ramadan. Cheap Ramadan bazaars will be set up.
Action is being taken against hoarders and mafia across the province. The provincial minister visited the DHQ hospital in the province.
The Provincial Minister discussed the treatment facilities with the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital. The Provincial Minister visited the Emergency Department, Dialysis Center, Cardiac Unit.
The provincial minister also visited city police station, DPO office command and control room and land record center.
